Why this site hasn’t been updated in a while (aka. March 1, 2015)

I know that for many visitors in the last 10 months, this site seems like it has been abandoned. I can assure you completely that it has not. You see, I am a teacher by trade, and since January of 2014 I have been working on a Masters Degree in education. This degree is an accelerated one and it has consumed all of my waking hours since I began it those long months ago. It has been incredibly rewarding, I am a significantly better teacher now than I was before I began, and in spite of the incredibly intense workload, I have enjoyed it a lot.

But the reality of trying to work full time, go to school, have a family, and make terrain is simply too much. I do miss this hobby terribly, and I cannot wait until my program is over and I can unearth my workshop from the dust that has been accumulating on it these last 10 months.

The end date for my degree is February 28, 2015. This means that March 1, 2015 will be my first day of freedom. I look forward to getting back to work on the many projects that sit unfinished on my workbench or yet to be commenced in my head.

So please do not give up on me, and check back in a couple of months to see all of the wonderful progress I will begin to make at that time. I know that I, for one, cannot wait!

Just found your website via some meandering through Pinterest, looking for ideas to stimulate my imagination on making miniature castles and cottages, an ages-old dream of mine. I wish you lots of luck with your masters degree!! And I look forward to seeing your future projects, The beautiful projects you have on the site have really inspired me to clean up a dusty old workshop and create something beautiful.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m so happy that my little site drew your attention enough to comment. I’m honored that my projects could inspire you to build your own, I hope your “cleaning up” goes well. I love this hobby and I can’t wait to get back to it. Only a few more weeks and I can begin to dust of my own workshop and begin creating again. I can’t wait! There are certainly a lot of ideas bouncing around in my head just waiting for the free time to come out. Stay tuned, and let me know what you end up creating, I’d be interested in seeing that.
